  1. So first she’s stuck with her store being the one his office is in, and then he penalizes her for this, something she never wanted. Poor Marla. She may suffer more misery now as manager than she ever did as assistant manager.

  2. The company I used to work for had the district headquarters in one of the stores. Oddly it was the worst store in the district. It was the store that I worked in that got picked on over the littlest things.

  3. I used to work at a store that was also the District Manager’s base store. We were always the bottom of the customer service scores because everybody was always nit picking about where to place the staple in a stack of papers. So while I’m in the back room re-stapling paperwork, the customers are on the sales floor with nobody to help them.

    It didn’t help any that three times a day they’d pull everybody off the sales floor to hold “customer service huddles”…so empty the floor of all customer service associates to discuss how to improve customer service. Yeah
