  1. Gotta love when somebody invokes Godwin’s Law. It’s the fastest way to make me stop taking somebody seriously (unless it’s one of those less common times when it’s actually relevant to the discussion at hand or is actually an accurate comparison/example).

  2. Hey, hey, hey now… very few past-times are truly productive, but at least this one requires thought as well as time! It’s certainly better than, say, playing Angry Birds (gods, how I hate that game)…

  3. Blade is right. You can waste an awful lot of time commenting on things and even reading a lot of comments! Some sites you have to create an account and password and sign in every time before you can comment and then you have to prove you’re a real person by typing in that letter/number thing at the end (I forget what it’s called) and then the comment has to be moderated. It’s just not worth the time.

  4. It’s a complete waste of time on most places on the Internet to try to debate with people since you’re just shouting into an ever-shifting crowd and it doesn’t make the ignorant any less so. In this age of information ignorance isn’t due to lack of information, it’s due to lack of desire to listen or think for one’s self.

  5. I don’t read comment anymore (except here obviously)

between the trolls, the spam, and the ignoramuses; it just isn’t worth it. (and my mind has already been made up anyway :D )
