  1. Why do i get the feeling that this is going to be the retail version of the scene in the “Gone in 60 Seconds” remake where Cage and Duvall are trying to get a bunch of car theives together, and the calls didn’t really get much worse than these two have been so far.

  2. Let’s guess what Doug did:
    1) Assaulted a manager.
    2) Assaulted a customer.
    3) Assaulted a smarta** co-worker.

    • Except Doug wouldn’t be in prison for any of that.
      1) Assault a manager gets you a reprimand
      2) Assault a customer gets you the option of resigning with no black mark on your record
      3) Assault a co-worker and the assaultee will be told to make an effort to “get along” with the assailant
I take it you’ve never worked a scut job.

      • An ex of mine was caught protecting himself from a fellow employee, who started raging one night in the stockroom. They were both hauled up to management and fired. Note, that my beau didn’t do anything to the other employee, he was on defense. I had just quit working there, but I’m sure that it was in our employee handbooks that anyone caught fighting was fired immediately.

        • Even in “at will” state, he could probably sue for unlawful dismissal. Not that the job sounds worth the trouble, but he might get a settlement or even a judgement in his favor.

  3. This is a good example of why the vast majority of managers and human resources people start from scratch after the applications/resumes hit the 6 month mark.

  4. If it’s any consolation Marla, your soon to be ex-AM will soon feel like he’s in prison in the path which he has chosen. Or maybe he’ll wish he was in prison compared to the agony he will find on that job.
